Welcome!

* Please note that I am temporarily not taking new clients due to my practice being full. I may still be able to provide single session consults or evaluations (i.e., evaluations for gender confirming surgery).

In my practice, I strive to create a warm and supportive environment in which my clients can feel safe to fully explore their thoughts, feelings, hopes, and desires. I believe all of us have inherent strengths that can be built upon and used to help us overcome the challenges in our life. Sometimes all it takes is a little extra support, encouragement, and structure to help us gain clarity, build needed skills, and get back on our feet stronger than ever. I use a positive approach to help my clients build on their existing strengths while also expanding their abilities to cope with life's challenges, gain insight and understanding into the deeper parts of themselves, reduce stress, improve their relationships with self and others, and enhance their overall quality of life.

My therapeutic style has been described as warm and gentle yet appropriately challenging. I use an integrative approach but draw from Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Interpersonal Process, Emotion Focused (EFT),  Multicultural, Mindfulness, Sensorimotor, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) theories of psychotherapy.

For a list of my clinical specialties and services, please see the SERVICES page. I have experience working with a wide variety of psychological, interpersonal, and academic concerns with clients from diverse ethnic/racial, sexual, gender, ability, socioeconomic, and religious/spiritual identities. I aim to be open, welcoming, and affirming of all clients regardless of their personal identities or background.

In addition to providing services in the state of Texas, I can also provide telehealth services to clients residing in states that participate in the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT). https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap
